1. There are two options to start a progress note. First, from CP Central select the down arrow under Add Session.

2. Select the client's name. You will then be directed to the Client Session Add page.

3. The other option is to select the Clients menu.

4. Select the Client Sessions icon (two people).

5. Select the Add icon (plus sign).

6. Complete all sections with the red arrow. Red arrow means required.

7. Select the Add button when finished.

8. If there is not treatment plan or goals/interventions on file, you will receive a warning box. This is just a warning and can be bypassed by clicking "OK".

9. Complete the required and optional sections like the date and time, if required.

10. Next select the Goals and Interventions addressed. If no Goals and Interventions are listed, you can use the pre-populated ones by selecting Show/Hide Goal Categories or enter them in the text box.

11. Next enter the Progress/Effectiveness/Response/Plan. The Disposition can be disabled, optional or required. Enter if necessary.

12. At the bottom of the note there are a few signing and saving options. "Forward to ____" will send the progress note to the staff listed. "Sign Only" will sign but not forward the note and will need additional action in order to be billed. The progress not"Sign and Foward to ____"
"Forward to ____" will send the progress note to the staff listed.
"Sign Only" will sign but not forward the note and will need additional action in order to be billed. The progress note will also not be able to be edited.
"Sign and Foward to ____" will sign and lock the note and send it to the name listed for review.
"Review Note" will apply the staff signature to the note AND review at the same time.

13. A box will appear asking if you are sure you want to take the selected action.
